This is a color stochastic image of the Huntington Gardens in Pasadena, California.
Here's how it was made:
1. The photograph was scanned and opened in Photoshop.
2. In Photoshop RGB mode, the red, green, and blue channels (command-1, -2, -3 for Mac, control-1, -2, -3 for Win) were separately copied and pasted into fresh documents.
3. Each black-and-white document was converted to bitmap mode using dithering (this need not be done in Photoshop).
4. Each image was then copied back into its corresponding channel in a new Photoshop RGB document.
